1. Who we are
Brew Focus is made by Badaró Apps, an independent developer. In this policy, "we" means Badaró Apps. You can reach us at badaroapps@gmail.com.
2. What stays on your device
Most of Brew Focus runs only on your iPhone or iPad. These never leave your device:
- Blocked apps: the apps you choose to block are picked with Apple's Screen Time. Apple gives the app only private tokens, so even we can't see which apps they are. They are never sent anywhere.
- Motion sensors: during a break, the app reads the motion sensors to know if the phone is resting. This is processed on the device and never stored or sent.
- Notifications and alarms: they are scheduled on the device.
- Your drink history and stats: saved on the device. They only leave it if you sign in (see section 4).
3. Anonymous usage and crash data
We use PostHog to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes. It collects:
- A random ID created when the app is installed (not your Apple ID or the advertising ID)
- How you use the app: screens you open, focus and break sessions, drinks you choose, the purchase screens you see, and whether you are a Pro user
- Crash reports and basic technical info (device model, iOS version, app version)
This data is not linked to your account: it never includes your name, email or the apps you block. It is used only to improve Brew Focus and is kept for a limited time.
4. Optional account (Sign in with Apple)
An account is optional. If you sign in with Apple, we store on Supabase, our database provider:
- Your name (only if Apple shares it on the first sign-in)
- Your email. If you choose "Hide My Email", we only get a private relay address from Apple.
- An account ID
- Your finished drinks and your progress to unlock Pro drinks
We use this only to save your data and sync it between your devices. We don't send you marketing emails.
5. Focus meter
When you finish a drink, the app sends how many minutes you focused and which drink it was, with or without an account. These numbers are anonymous and are only added to a public total of hours focused by everyone, shown on our website.
6. Purchases
Brew Focus Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment: we never see your card or payment details. The app only checks with Apple whether you have Pro.
7. What we don't do
- We don't show ads
- We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites
- We don't sell or rent your data
- We don't share your data with anyone, except the providers above that run the app for us
8. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: in the app, go to Settings and delete your account. This removes your name, email and synced drinks from our servers and revokes the app's access to your Apple sign-in.
- Sign out: your drinks stay on the device; nothing new is synced.
- Permissions: you can turn off notifications, alarms and Screen Time at any time in the iOS Settings app.
- Other requests: to access, correct or delete your data, or for any question, email badaroapps@gmail.com.
Depending on where you live (for example, under the LGPD in Brazil or the GDPR in Europe), you may have more rights over your data. We will answer any request.
9. Children
Brew Focus is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For important changes, we will also tell you in the app.
